Today, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has appointed a compensation of 1500 euros to Murat Shavaev, finding a violation of his right to fair trial, when the terror act, committed in the Moscow metro in 2004 was investigated.

In the Rostov Region, miners of the "Kingcoal" have got a sanction from the authorities for a series of the pickets, which they intend to continue until September 19. In the case if their demands for payment of wages and abolition of fines and fees for overdue loans and debts for housing and utilities are not met, the miners intend to use other legal methods to struggle for their rights. This was announced by participants of the protest campaign.

The criminal charges brought against Dagestani athlete Said Osmanov in the case on desecration of a statue of Buddha in Elista are unfounded. Witnesses do not confirm that Said Osmanov had publicly scolded a statue of Buddha sacred for Buddhist. The athlete could be prosecuted for disorderly conduct in connection with the use of bad language in a public place, believes his advocate Murad Velikhanov.

Today, supporters of the opposition has staged a march through central Yerevan in support of the capturers of the building of the police patrol-and-guard regiment. Today, a regiment of the patrol-and-security service of the Armenian police has been attacked in Yerevan. The people inside the building were taken hostage. The responsibility for the attack was claimed by members of the opposition "Constituent Parliament", who demanded to release political prisoners, including their leader Zhirair (Jirair) Sefilyan.

In Sochi, at gatherings, tenants of multi-apartment houses were proposed by the management companies to install CCTV cameras on facades of their houses with a view to combat terrorism. According to agents of the management companies, the appropriate requirement was voiced by officials of the Sochi city administration. Members of the house committees criticized the offer to install CCTV cameras at the expense of the tenants of the houses.
