UN Special Rapporteur calls on to stop persecuting activists in Azerbaijan
Michel Forst, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, has called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release all the arrested activists of public organizations, lift any restrictions on their departure from the country and stop persecuting their relatives. In his turn, an assistant to the President of Azerbaijan has treated Mr Forst's report as "biased."

Dagestani preacher Abu Zeid killed in Iraq
Mukhammad Akhmedov (Abu Zeid), a preacher from Daghestan, was killed in Northern Iraq, his relatives told the "Caucasian Knot". Akhmedov was a member of the "Islamic State", a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, and died from a drone attack, said Joanna Paraschuk, an analyst of the British think tank IHS Jane's.

Volgograd: roundtable participants state ex-prisoners' employment problems
Former prisoners experience a lot of difficulties in finding job. This was stated by participants of the "roundtable" held in Volgograd. Members of the Public Chamber for the Volgograd Region have proposed to allocate quotas for employment of that category of citizens. ECtHR finds violation of Sochi resident's rights in refusal to issue passport for travels abroad
Russian authorities have violated the right to freedom of movement of a Sochi resident Mikhail Benyash, who was denied a passport for travelling abroad, when serving his conditional prison term. This was decided by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), which has obliged Russian authorities to pay 5000 euros to Benyash.

Native of Chechnya reports secret departure of his wife with four children to Syria
More than three weeks it is impossible to establish the whereabouts of Zareta Zubairaeva, 25, a resident of Grozny, and her four children, her husband Azamat has reported. According to his story, his wife has secretly gone abroad. Turkish law enforcers take part in the search, as they believe that Zubairaeva had been recruited by militants.

Bar Association lifts Trunov's lawyer's status
The lawyer Igor Trunov has been stripped of the lawyer's status for "violating the professional ethics," the Bar Association of the Moscow Region has reported. Two residents of Dagestan recognized as accomplices of killed leader of Makhachkala militants
The Karabudakhkent District Court has found local residents Vagabov and Temirkhanov guilty of aiding and abetting Gusein Tagirov, treated by law enforcers as a leader of Makhachkala militants and killed during a special operation.
