Michel Forst, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights, has called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release all the arrested activists of public organizations, lift any restrictions on their departure from the country and stop persecuting their relatives. Mukhammad Akhmedov (Abu Zeid), a preacher from Daghestan, was killed in Northern Iraq, his relatives told the "Caucasian Knot". Akhmedov was a member of the "Islamic State", a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, and died from a drone attack, said Joanna Paraschuk, an analyst of the British think tank IHS Jane's.

Members of the Public Chamber for the Volgograd Region have proposed to allocate quotas for employment of that category of citizens. Russian authorities have violated the right to freedom of movement of a Sochi resident Mikhail Benyash, who was denied a passport for travelling abroad, when serving his conditional prison term. This was decided by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), which has obliged Russian authorities to pay 5000 euros to Benyash.
