Thea Tsulukiani, the head of the Georgian Ministry of Justice (MoJ), has expressed her hope that Ukrainian authorities will launch the procedure of Mikhail Saakashvili’s extradition to Georgia as soon as he returns to Ukraine. Ms Tsulukiani has reminded that Georgia requested Saakashvili’s extradition from Ukraine in 2014 and 2015.

In Chechnya, people of non-traditional sexual orientation are severely beaten and killed by their relatives with the complete connivance of the authorities and by their direct orders. This morning, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has accused the Armenian side of 140 violations of the ceasefire. According to the Azerbaijani MoD, not only the combat positions, but four villages were also subjected to intensive bombardment, civilian objects, crops and personal property of local residents were also affected by shelling.

In the case on an attempted assassination of the Chechen leader, the Gudermes City Court has sentenced each of three defendants Aziz Alviev, Beslan Zakaraev, and Shamkhan Magomadov to 6.5 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.
