Five years ago, Akhmednabi Akhmednabiyev, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was shot dead. Over these years, investigators failed to establish the killer and the customer. The investigation was repeatedly suspended. The last, eighth decision to suspend it was made in April 2016. This June, it was resumed, but no particular results are known yet.

On the central beach of the city Gelendzhik, a sewage discharge occurred; for about an hour, the sewage was discharged into the sea; it was accompanied by an unpleasant smell, after which bathing was banned, tourists have reported. According to Ministry for Emergencies (MfE), the waiting time is about five hours. In their turn, drivers assert that they have to wait for 9 hours or more.
