Azerbaijan reports 22 shelling attacks from the Armenian side

Tangim Mosque sees drop in popularity because of law enforcers' raids
Law enforcers copy the personal data of the parishioners of the "Tangim" Mosque in Makhachkala in order to threaten them later with putting them on the so-called "prophylactic registry", the journalist, Idris Yusupov, has stated. Azerbaijani oppositionist arrested after picket
On October 11, Tofig Mamedov, an activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), who held a solo picket in Baku, was placed behind bars for 10 days. It is his fourth detention since the start of the year.

Afghan War veterans remind Dagestani authorities about idling rehabilitation centre

Former Makhachkala Mayor released on CER
In the evening on October 10, Musa Musaev, the former Mayor of Makhachkala, was released after almost two years of imprisonment in a SIZO (pre-trial prison) and a penal colony, his advocate reported.
