Dmitri Medvedev nominates Ebzeyev head of Karachayevo-Cherkessia
Russian President Dmitri Medvedev has nominated Boris Ebzeyev for the consideration by the Karachayevo-Cherkessia Public Assembly and for granting him the powers of the republic's president. Ebzeyev may replace Mustafa Batdyev as leader of Karachayevo-Cherkessia.

Explosion near Ingushetia MoI: 5 wounded, 2 killed
