Criminal case opened in Dagestan against militiaman accused of murdering pregnant woman
On May 21, Usman Amaev, Senior Inspector of Russian Prosecutor's Office for Dagestan, signed a statement to open a criminal case against a militiaman on the fact of injuring Gasan Baisultanov, a resident of Khasavyurt, and murdering his wife Saniyat Magomedova, who was in her fourth month of pregnancy.

Eight suspected militants detained in Chechnya within two days
On May 20, in the course of special operations conducted in Chechnya against members of armed formations employees of law enforcement bodies detained three suspected militants' helpers. Kaziahmedov assassinated in Makhachkala once headed investigation of Kaspiisk terror act
Seifudin Kaziahmedov who was killed today in Makhachkala was once the head of the investigatory group in charge of the criminal case about the terror act committed in Kaspiisk on May 9, 2002. In the end of 2008, he was appointed deputy head of the Investigatory Department for Dagestan of the Investigatory Committee at the Prosecutor's Office (ICPO) of Russia.

Panuashvili: police was beating youngsters at festival alternative to "Eurovision"
