The investigation into the case against five defendants, accused of the murder of Anna Politkovskaya, an observer of the newspaper "Novaya Gazeta", has been completed, and sufficient evidences to compile the indictment against them have been collected. This was reported by the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

In Tbilisi, in front of the residence of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, an action "Equal Opportunities for All" was held to support people with disabilities. The action was attended by about 50 persons. The participants of the action demanded to ratify immediately the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

Today, in Volgograd, 17 ecologists and residents of the village of Dar-Gora held a protest action, demanding to stop the activities of the enterprise "Tekhoil". According to the City Mayoralty, complaints about pollution of environment by the refinery enterprise "Tekhoil" are not confirmed.

The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) accepted for consideration of the complaint, filed by Vera Drobinskaya, from whom biological parents took a child under her guardianship. The ECtHR sent information about the case "Drobinskaya vs. Russia" to the Commissioner of the Russian Federation at the ECtHR.

The ECtHR accepted for consideration the complaint, filed by Tabarik Chudalova, the mother of Muslim Chudalov, who was accused of involvement in illegal armed formations (IAF) and attempted murder of law enforcement officers and who was sentenced to 21 years of imprisonment. The mother of the convicted man claims that he is subjected to torture and that he is not involved in any of the crimes, of which he is accused.
