After restoration, Armenia opens Haghartsin Monastery of the 9th century
On October 19, Armenia held a solemn opening ceremony of the 9th century Haghartsin Monastery, situated in the Tavush Region; its restoration began back in 2008. The works worth 5,000,000 US dollars were paid by Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasim, the Prince of the Emirate of Sharjah and a member of the Main Board of Arab Emirates.

During week of October 21-27, 2013, 18 persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
During the week of October 21-27, 2013, at least 18 persons suffered in the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, 11 persons were killed, and 7 persons were wounded. Said Amirov charged with plotting terror act
Said Amirov, Mayor of Makhachkala, who was dismissed from office, and his nephew Yusup Djaparov, who occupied the position of the Deputy Mayor of the city of Kaspiisk, are charged with terrorism and arms trafficking.
