In Azerbaijan, advocate claims police pressure on Khalid Khanlarov
Colleagues of Khalid Khanlarov, an active Facebook user, subjected to a 25-day administrative arrest under the charge of disobeying police, believe that he was arrested on political grounds, and they associate his arrest with his activities on the Internet. The defence of Khalid Khanlarov has announced the intention to file a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

Ingush theologians claim absurdity of accusations voiced by Ramzan Kadyrov

Nakhichevan Court sentences Zeinal Bagirzade to eight years of imprisonment

In Khasavyurt, relatives of woman who died in hospital come to rally (+video)
This morning, in Khasavyurt, relatives of a local woman, who died on January 29 after deliveries in hospital, have come to the building of the perinatal centre. People have claimed that the woman's death was caused by doctors' fault and demanded a meeting with the head physician of the clinic.

Law enforcers identify a man killed in car shelling in Nazran
In the evening of February 2, at the centre of Nazran, a car was shelled near the shopping complex "21st Century". As a result, a man and a woman inside the car were killed. The killed man has been preliminary identified as Abuyazit Buzurtanov, a 30-year-old resident of Ingushetia.

On February 2, inGrozny, the central mosque named after Akhmad Kadyrov hosted the gathering of followers of tarikats (Sufi brotherhoods) of Naqshbandi and Kadar. Amur Khakulov, sentenced in the case of the attack on Nalchik, is seriously ill and he will hardly survive the transfer to a penal colony. This was stated by his advocates and his wife. Osmanov supporters urge Abdulatipov to settle conflict in Buynaksk

Trial of Rasim Aliev's murder disrupted in Baku
The court that is considering the murder case of Rasim Aliev refused to summon as witnesses the doctors of the clinic, where the journalist died after being beaten. This caused a protest of the defendants and their relatives. In order to drive the protesters out of the courtroom, court marshals used tear gas.
