"Legal Initiative" insists on investigation into kidnapping of Ingush resident

The investigation into the case on the kidnapping of Abu Bakar Tsechoev in 2012 should be resumed after the verdict of the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) on recognizing the violation of the rights of his family members. This was stated by Olga Gnezdilova, a lawyer of the human rights organization "Legal Initiative".

Experts claim militants had no reason to set fire to Dagestani school

Tbilisi: supporters of homeless people threaten to go on hunger strike

Authorities should adopt a law "On Homeless Persons" and assign the appropriate status to people who have lost their homes, said the protesters who rallied near the Parliament of Georgia. Badrudin Musaev pleads not guilty in use of violence against policemen

Krasnodar historian goes on hunger strike against additional charges for capital repair

On June 22, Krasnodar historian Sergey Ryabchikov, the president of the Krasnodar research centre for the study of ancient civilizations and cultures, started a protest action. At present, his condition is being assessed as satisfactory. The Krasnodar historian intends to continue his hunger strike until the courts, to which he has filed complaints against the Krasnodar regional fund of capital repairs of apartment buildings, do consider the complaints on the merits and check the activities of the fund.

Believers of Shamkhal mosque report on five detainees

Today, the believers of the village of Shamkhal have held an unsanctioned rally in front of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) in Makhachkala. After the rally in Makhachkala, the Dagestani police detained several protesters. According to law enforcers, the believers started a fight inside the mosque. Dagestani law enforcers report about involvement of militants in school arson

In Dagestan, the school which has been burnt down tonight in the village of Teletl of the Shamil District, is set on fire by militants. This was reported by a source from the regional law enforcement bodies. Law enforcers have identified four suspected militants who were involved in the arson of the school, the source reports.

Prosecutor's Office recognizes Erosi Kitsmarishvili's death as suicide

Erosi Kitsmarishvili, the former Ambassador of Georgia to Russia, the founder of the "Rustavi-2" TV Company, committed suicide because of his debts. This was reported by an official of the Prosecutor's Office, who announced the completion of the investigation. Family members of Erosi Kitsmarishvili do not agree with the position of the Prosecutor's Office, reports advocate Gagi Mosiashvili.
