The Armenian Court of Appeal has refused to release from custody Bogdan Kalyussky, a Muslim activist and blogger, also known as Salman Sever. The decision has been made despite the Ukrainian Ambassador presented the evidence of the authenticity of the documents issued for Bogdan Kalyussky, reports rights defender Arthur Sakunts.

On April 23, Nver Ovannisyan, the deputy chairman of the "Erkrapah" Volunteer Union, died in the hospital of the Armenian city of Vagarshapat of stab wounds. The man was wounded after protests against the election of Serzh Sargsyan the Prime Minister of Armenia, the city authorities reports today.
