Abkhazian law enforcers have detained Zaza Shariya, a Georgian citizen, accusing him of illegally crossing the border, the Georgian State Security Service (SSS) has informed. Their counterparts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Abkhazia have specified that Shariya was wanted on suspicion of committing robberies.

The People’s Assembly of the Pankisi Gorge has condemned the April 21 unrests and expressed its readiness to do everything to prevent further clashes. Members of the assembly have called on the Georgian authorities to jointly overcome the difficulties.

The Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) is the only republic, where Circassian activists were not allowed to hold a motor rally on the Circassian Flag Day. The authorities are afraid of national movement strengthening, but the prohibition policy is fraught with the situation getting out of control, Martin Kochesoko, a Circassian activist, and Valery Khatazhukov, a human rights defender, believe.

Bikers from Russia were denied entry because border guards treated the information about the aim of their journey as false, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported. The motorcyclists claim that their group of 30 bikers was driving to a rally in Greece.
