Brother of Ingush wrestler Yevloev tortured, his relatives claim

Law enforcers planted improvised explosive devices (IEDs) to Bagaudin Yevloev, a cousin of the Asian freestyle wrestling champion, tortured him, and forced him to sign a confession. This was reported to the "Memorial" by the mother of the detainee.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 6, a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was conducted in Nazran and in the village of Sagopshi in the Malgobek District of Ingushetia. The National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported about two killed militants and another one detained. According to sources, Muslim Yevloev, an Asian freestyle wrestling champion, managed to flee from law enforcers.

Lyubov Yaryzheva, an aunt of Muslim Yevloev, said that her son Bagaudin Yevloev, a wrestler's cousin, was detained on August 7. According to the woman, armed law enforcers found in the house a black flag with an inscription in Arabic and bottles with powder. Then they took Bagaudin Yevloev away with them to some unknown destination. It was not earlier than two days later, on August 9, when an advocate informed relatives that the detainee was being kept at a SIZO (pre-trial prison).

Bagaudin Yevloev complained that after his detention, he was severely tortured, including with electric current. The law enforcers wanted to force him to sign a confession that the items found in the house belonged to him. Being unable to withstand the torture, the man opened up his veins, but doctors saved him. Finally, Bagaudin Yevloev signed a confession.

Let us remind you that sources associated the special operation conducted in Nazran and Sagopshi with the killing of a fighter of the National Guard of Russia on the outskirts of the village of Yandare on July 28.
