Several dozen participants gathered for a protest action in front of the office of the branch of the "Open Society Institute-Assistance Foundation" (known as "Soros Foundation") in Yerevan. However, policemen did not allow protesters to approach the building by blocking the access with cordons.

After two days of the ConIFA-2019 Football Championship held in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the teams of Abkhazia and Western Armenia are in the lead. Locals hope that the tournament of this scale will bring the NKR closer to international recognition.

The authorities of the majority of the republics of Northern Caucasus and Adygea announced days off on the occasion of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr. The "Rosobrnadzor" (the Russian Federal Service for Supervising Education and Sciences) has allowed Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia to transfer those unified state exams (USE) of high school graduates, which coincide with the celebration of Uraza-Bayram. However, critics of this decision point out that passing the exams on reserve dates will reduce graduates' chances to enter the budget-funded departments of universities and eliminates a possibility of re-passing the required exams.
