The deadline for preservation of the Georgian citizenship for those who received it in another country has been extended until December 31, 2020. This year, a total of 9348 people applied for the return of Georgian citizenship, the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has reported.

Relatives of Abdulmumin Gadjiev, the arrested journalist of the "Chernovik" (Draft) weekly, were summoned for questioning within his case. Gadji Gadjiev, Abdulmumin's brother, wrote a written refusal to testify and demanded explanations from the investigator why they prohibit relatives from visiting the journalist.
