Villagers in the Chegem district pointed out the unresolved problem with the road to the officials.

One of the residents of the Chegem district of Kabardino-Balkaria filmed the condition of the road from the village of Lechinkai to Lower Chegem and published this video on social media.

The footage shows a dirt road covered with numerous potholes and bumps. The video is shot from inside a car moving at a slow speed.

This video was published on July 2 on the Instagram*-page _07_kbr, which has about 214 thousand followers. "The road – the stretch from Lechinkai to Lower Chegem, I can’t stand it anymore. We’ve been driving in this horror for a year now. Even large trucks pass at the slowest speed. I don’t understand who was bothered by this asphalt?" – the author of the video’s comment is quoted in the post description.

"I agree with every word. Make asphalt along the entire length of the road from Chegem Vtoroy to Bulungu, and here remove the asphalt. Where is the logic? <…> There are no responsible parties, no announced grants, no contractor, no money? What is the problem? Why was the asphalt removed if there were no plans to quickly cover it with new? It was quite normal? Is there really no understanding that a full repair of the road with such traffic – both tourist, freight, and civilian – is indeed a top priority?" – asked the user fottume_chegemli.
