The decision to seize property from the former governor of the Rostov region has been upheld.

The Krasnodar Regional Court found no grounds for changing the decision to confiscate the property of former Rostov Region Governor Vasily Chub and persons associated with him for state benefit.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", at the end of April, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Krasnodar converted the assets of the former Rostov Region Governor, former Senator Vladimir Chub, and several other persons for state benefit.

On June 19, the Krasnodar Regional Court upheld the legality of the decision to seize the property of former Rostov Region Governor Vladimir Chub and persons associated with him in favor of the state, Kommersant reports.

The court's website states that Krasnodar Regional Court Judge Oksana Gumilevskaya found no grounds for changing the decision, and it was upheld.

As a reminder, the Prosecutor General's Office demanded that the property of former Rostov Region Governor and former Senator Vladimir Chub, billionaire and founder of one of Russia's largest agricultural holdings, Yug Rusi, Sergei Kislov, founder of the investment holding Alias ​​Group, Boris Yunanov, former mayor of Shakhty Denis Stanislavov and his father, Ivan Stanislavov, former vice-governor of the Rostov Region, and affiliated individuals and legal entities in early October.

Chub served as Governor of the Rostov Region from October 1991 to June 2010. He was replaced in this post by Vasily Golubev, , who previously headed the Leninsky Municipal District of the Moscow Region. In 2011, on December 24, 2011, deputies of the Murmansk Regional Duma voted for the candidacy of former Rostov Region Governor Vladimir Chub for the post of Senator from the Murmansk Region.
