Archbishop Galstanyan has been placed under house arrest.

The Armenian Criminal Court of Appeals has changed the pretrial detention measure for Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Sacred Struggle movement.

As reported by Caucasian Knot, at the end of April, a Yerevan court extended Bagrat Galstanyan's pretrial detention for two months in the case of preparing to seize power.

The Court of Appeals, chaired by Judge Vazgen Rshtuni, softened the preventive measure for Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, transferring him from pre-trial detention to house arrest, News.am reported today.

According to the court's ruling, Galstanyan is prohibited from communicating with other defendants in this criminal case, Newsarmenia reports.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia reported that after receiving the court's decision, a cassation appeal will be filed against the ruling, the publication clarifies, citing the supervisory agency.
