Rospotrebnadzor refused to provide data on the condition of Anapa's beaches.

Anapa City Council Deputy Oleg Yantsen submitted a request regarding the quality of water and sand on beaches, but was denied the data. Rospotrebnadzor explained that this information is only provided to the government commission.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," Anapa residents complained of a gas smell on May 9. The mayor stated that the smell was related to construction work near Novorossiysk and did not pose a threat, but Telegram users disagreed.

Anapa City Council Deputy Oleg Yantsen from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation was denied the results of seawater and sand tests following the oil spill in the Black Sea. Rospotrebnadzor's response states that monitoring of beach and water conditions continues, but the results are sent only to the government commission for emergency response, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation in Kuban reported.

According to the document, published on the "Anapa Grazhdanskaya" Telegram channel, a separate clause prohibits sending press releases, comments, and other information about emergency response measures to the media and blogosphere. "Paragraph 19 of the protocol of the government commission for coordinating the response to the emergency caused by the food spill associated with the tanker disaster of December 15, 2024, as of January 13, 2025, prohibits the distribution of press releases, comments, and other information related to emergency response efforts to the media and the blogosphere.

It should be noted that the reports of the government commission meeting, which the Russian government publishes every Friday, do not contain data on water conditions.

"In fact, data on the condition of the water and sand on Anapa's beaches was closed to residents, journalists, and the public. The Communist Party of the Russian Federation considers such secrecy unacceptable. When it comes to public health, authorities are obligated not to hide data, but to inform citizens honestly and promptly," the Communist Party of the Russian Federation commented on this information.
