Residents of another village in Chechnya have been evacuated due to the threat of flooding.

Rescuers are evacuating residents of the village of Braguny in the Gudermes District. More than 600 people have already been evacuated, and the water level in the Sunzha River has begun to recede. More than 700 homes in the Gudermes District are flooded.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," the rising water level in the Gums River has flooded the village of Kundukhovo in Gudermes, requiring the evacuation of residents, Khamzat Magamadov, head of the Gudermes District administration, reported last night. Residents of the Gudermes village of Kundukhovo, after being evacuated from the flood zone, have been staying with relatives, refusing to be sent to temporary accommodation centers.

Rescuers are evacuating the village of Braguny. As of 4:10 p.m. Moscow time, 548 people—248 adults and 300 children—have been evacuated, the press service of the Gudermes District Administration reports.

"The access road was flooded. People were evacuated in advance to avoid what happened yesterday in Kundukhovo. A total of 548 people, including 300 children at the moment," Vainakh TV company quotes administration officials as saying.

A correspondent for the Grozny State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company reported that 613 residents had been evacuated by 4:40 p.m. Moscow time, despite the river's water level beginning to recede.

As of 1:00 PM on March 29, more than 740 homes were flooded in the Gudermes District due to heavy rainfall.

A state of emergency has already been declared in several districts: Shalinsky, Kurchaloevsky, Sharoysky, Shatoysky, and Nozhai-Yurtovsky. In the Shalinsky District, approximately 38 homes were flooded, bridge supports over the Khulkhulau and Bass rivers were destroyed, as was a 40-meter gas pipeline. In the Kurchaloevsky District, a partial dam breach occurred near the village of Tsotsi-Yurt. In the Nozhai-Yurt district, 69 houses were damaged, Grozny-Inform reports.

As a reminder, on March 28, floodwaters in Argun and Gudermes destroyed two bridges, restricting traffic.

In Dagestan, neighboring Chechnya, rains and strong winds caused power outages, leaving 283 settlements more than 327,000 residents without power.

In Makhachkala, 103 people were evacuated from flooded areas. Houses in the city were flooded, and appliances, furniture, and cars were damaged. Residents complained about problems with electricity and water supplies, as well as transportation accessibility. They also complained that it was very difficult to reach emergency services. In the Dagestani village of Adilyotar, 468 homes were flooded, and authorities reported the evacuation of residents. Forty-three patients from the Batayurt hospital were also evacuated.
