The Volgograd Region and Kuban were in the zone of a drone attack.

Last night, the military shot down drones in the Volgograd Region and Krasnodar Krai.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," last night, drones were destroyed in the Sholokhovsky and Rodionovo-Nesvetaysky districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yuri Slyusar reported. According to the Ministry of Defense, there were no injuries, but a structure was damaged on a private property in the village of Chukarinsky.

Last night, air defense systems on duty destroyed 203 Ukrainian drones, including in the Volgograd and Rostov regions, Krasnodar Krai, and over the Black Sea, the Ministry of Defense reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the publication, the remaining drones were shot down in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Penza, Pskov, Rostov, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tver, Tula, and Moscow regions, as well as in Crimea. The agency did not specify how many drones were shot down in each region.

The Volgograd Region Administration and the Kuban task force, as of 9:55 a.m. Moscow time, had not reported the overnight attack on their Telegram channels.

As a reminder, on February 13, a woman and a teenager were injured in a drone attack in Volgograd. According to authorities, several private and apartment buildings were damaged. Windows in damaged apartments haven't been repaired even a week after the attack, and it's difficult to reach dispatchers, victims complained.

On March 18, a drone attack in Krasnodar killed one person. Windows and balcony glass were shattered in 11 apartments, and roofs and facades were damaged in buildings. One victim complained that authorities failed to provide assistance in restoring the apartment for four days. The developer, she said, replaced the windows and balcony glazing.

In September 2025, a ban was imposed in Krasnodar Krai on the dissemination of information about drone attacks and their consequences, as well as on filming air defense systems, military installations, and critical infrastructure. In December 2025, Kuban authorities introduced fines for filming aerial attacks and air defense operations. A corresponding regional legislative assembly bill was published on the "Caucasian Knot."

In other regions of the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts, including the Volgograd Region, filming drone attacks and their aftermath is also prohibited. These prohibitions contradict the Constitution, which guarantees the inadmissibility of censorship and the freedom to search for, record, and disseminate information, lawyers pointed out.
