Two soldiers from Dagestan were killed in Ukraine.

Akhmed Shamsudinov and Ruslan Abdulshekhov were killed in combat. Since the beginning of the Russian operation in Ukraine, authorities have named at least 1,602 Dagestani servicemen killed there.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," by October 20, at least 1,600 combatants from Dagestan had been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

The name of the next Dagestani serviceman killed in Ukraine was revealed in a statement by the Gergebil District administration. A memorial plaque dedicated to Akhmed Shamsudinov was installed in the secondary school in the village of Murada, according to a statement on the municipality's official Telegram channel.

Akhmed Shamsudinov was killed in early April 2025. He was 29 years old at the time of his death, according to the plaque.

The name of another person killed in Ukraine was released by the Khasavyurt city administration in a report on its response to his family's requests. The victim, Ruslan Abdulshekhov, was named after him. His relatives asked for a street in the village of Bammatbekyurt to be named after him, as well as assistance in rebuilding their burned-out house, according to the administration's statement.

Thus, at least 1,602 soldiers from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.
