Vladimir Yarotsky sentenced to 5.5 years in colony
A court in Krasnodar has considered the posts placed in the social network by Vladimir Yarotsky, a local resident, telling about the number of soldiers killed in Ukraine and the publication of a picture with a Saint George ribbon to be the dissemination of fakes about the Russian Army and an insult to the symbols of the military glory.
The Krasnodar Territorial Court has sentenced Vladimir Yarotsky on two articles at once.
According to investigators and the court, in September 2022, the defendant posted fakes about the Russian Army in his social network page – false information about the number of Russian soldiers killed and missing in the action on the territory of Ukraine. Also, as part of this session, the court again considered the case of desecration of a symbol of military glory, initiated in connection with the publication in a social network of an image depicting a male genital organ with a Saint George ribbon tied to it. "At the court hearing, Yarotsky's guilt in disseminating the above information was confirmed," the united press service of the courts of the Krasnodar Territory has reported.
The court has sentenced Yarotsky under the two articles to 5.5 years in a general regime colony. "The convict was arrested right in the courtroom," the above press service reported on May 21.
