Number of administrative cases against Makhachkala rioters exceeds 500

Dagestani courts have received administrative cases against 515 people, on whom protocols had been drawn up on various offenses committed during the anti-Semitic action and riots in Makhachkala.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by November 18, district courts of Dagestan had received administrative cases on 412 persons accused in connection with the unrests in Makhachkala.

As reported by the "Mediazona"*, 495 people have been charged under the article of violating the procedure for holding mass actions, other 20 persons – under the article of organizing citizens' mass simultaneous presence in public places.

In some cases, law enforcers drew up protocols on the events that happened before the riots. Thus, on November 6, Djamilya Ismailova was sentenced to 20 hours of compulsory labour for her post placed on October 16 in a social network. The post was about a rally in Makhachkala in support of Palestine, which was stopped by law enforcers on the following day.

In total, there are seven women among those brought to administrative responsibility after the riots, at least one of them, Patimat Sharudinova, is kept at the SIZO (pre-trial prison).

Let us remind you that in connection with the riots at the Makhachkala Airport, a criminal case is also being investigated for participation in mass riots, which provides for three to eight years of freedom deprivation. By November 22, the Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan had considered and denied 40 complaints against defendants' arrests.

*On September 29, 2021, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included the LLC "ZP" (the legal entity that had established the "Mediazona") into the list of media outlets-foreign agents.
