Krasnodar activist leaves Russia after law enforcers' phone calls

Marina Zakharchenko from Krasnodar, who was earlier fined for discrediting the Russian Army, has left Russia. According to her story, she was forced to do this because of telephone calls from law enforcers, who promised to open a criminal case against her, if she failed to delete her pacifist posts in the social network.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, policemen of the road-and-patrol service (known as DPS) stopped Marina Zakharchenko and took her to the police station. There, a protocol was drawn up against her under the article on discrediting the Russian Army. On June 1, the court fined Marina by 15,000 roubles for discrediting Russian militaries.

Then, Maria Zakharchenko left Russia. She reported about this to the "OVD-Info"* project.

According to her version, they demanded from her, in particular, to remove a photo from the solo picket that Zakharchenko had held near the administration building of the Krasnodar Territory.

Marina Zakharchenko is an activist in the movement of defrauded real estate investors in Krasnodar.

After on March 4, 2022, administrative responsibility for discrediting the army was introduced in Russia, law enforcers began drawing up protocols under this article, including against activists from Kuban (the Krasnodar Territory).
