Two men blown up by mine in Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani residents, Alishakh and Faig Safarov, received wounds when a mine exploded while they were repairing a road in the Terter District, the prosecutor's office informed on February 18.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that when mines explode in the territories that came under Azerbaijan's control after the 2020 Karabakh war, people are regularly killed and wounded. Thus, on January 18, in the Goranboy District, the 26-year-old shepherd, Vugar Mamedov, stepped on a mine while grazing cattle and lost his leg.

On February 18, the workers of the Azerbaijani State Automobile Roads Agency, the 59-year-old Alishah Safarov and the 57-year-old Faig Safarov received various traumas as a result of a mine explosion during repair work in the village of Chaily, Terter District, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told in the district prosecutor's office, which added that the case is under investigation.
