Special and counterterrorist operations

In the evening on January 30, law enforcers in armoured vehicles cordoned off a territory in Nazran (Ingushetia): possibly a counterterrorist operation (CTO) was conducted there. According to eyewitnesses, one of the intersections in Kavkazskaya Street was blocked; there were many law enforcers and armoured vehicles there, but no shooting was heard. Local residents added that the mobile Internet was disabled, as is usually the case during CTOs. There was no official information about the incident.

Let us remind you that a week earlier, on January 18-24, 11 people fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus: six were killed and five more were wounded. All six casualties were alleged members of the armed underground in Chechnya. Five law enforcers were wounded.
