In December 2019, six persons fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus

In December 2019, at least six persons fell victim to the armed conflict in Northern Caucasus. Of them, two persons were killed, and four others were wounded. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and information from other open sources.

The presented statistics cannot indicate, with 100 percent accuracy, the real number of victims. Not all the data gets into news reports; it is not always possible to verify statements of law enforcement bodies. Besides, some of the facts regarding the events of the reporting period become known already after the publication of the statistics by the "Caucasian Knot".

In Ingushetia, an attack on the road-and-patrol police check point resulted in six casualties. Two persons – a law enforcer and an alleged militant – were killed. Four others – three law enforcers and another alleged militant – were wounded.

In Dagestan, Chechnya, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania, and in the Stavropol Territory, no victims to the armed conflict were registered in December 2019.
