Social network users react to comedian Galkin's refusal to perform in Chechnya

The words of the humorist, Maxim Galkin, who explained his refusal to go on tour in Grozny by the unwillingness to apologize for jokes and his inability to be a courtier, have attracted the attention of YouTube users. Some of them found his statement worthy of respect; others have concluded that Galkin is afraid of Chechen authorities.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in his interview on the "And to talk?" YouTube channel Maxim Galkin said that the practice of apologizing to Ramzan Kadyrov for one's careless remarks keeps him from touring in Chechnya.

At the same time, Galkin told how he came to the republic during the second Chechen War in 2000. Then, the soldiers' living conditions shocked him. The wounded servicemen were kept under thin blankets in tents heated by cast-iron wood stoves.

Let us remind you that earlier actors, singers and comedians, who happened to speak about Chechen leadership, were often forced to apologize for their words.
