Special and counterterrorist operations

On December 25, law enforcers checked the passport regime in Grozny before the New Year holidays. A large number of law enforcers were accumulated in the central part of Grozny. According to residents of the Chechen capital, armed law enforcers visited apartment buildings and checked for persons staying without registration. The law enforcers behaved correctly and did not check the premises. The spokesman for the Chechen Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported that the preventive measures are being taken in Grozny and in connection with the New Year holidays, "the law enforcement bodies of the republic were transferred to the enhanced security regime of service."
