Two persons killed by explosion at shopping centre in Nazran

In the evening on Tuesday, December 11, an explosion occurred at the "Kovcheg" Shopping Centre in Nazran; according to eyewitnesses, Khaniev, a seller of fragrances, and Muslim Khashagulgov, an activist and the security head of the shopping centre, were killed.

As reported by the Ingush Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), two law enforcers were hospitalized after explosion of a grenade thrown at them during the detention of suspects in Nazran. According to sources, the attackers were militants; they were killed at detention.

"Two guys were killed – the seller of fragrances Khaniev and Muslim Khashagulgov, the security head of the 'Kovcheg' Shopping Centre and a civil activist," Musa Abadiev, a nephew of the owner of the shopping centre, wrote on the Facebook.

"Khashagulgov was a civil activist; he worked for a lawyers' association and provided free legal assistance. He combined these activities with the work of a security officer at the 'Kovcheg' Shopping Centre," the Telegram-channel "FortangaORG" has reported.

Eyewitnesses noted that the office of the "Magas-Life", belonging to Bagaudin Khautiev, an opponent of the border agreement with Chechnya, is close to the site of the explosion.
