Serzh Sargsyan's nephew arrested

The court in Yerevan has ruled to place Hayk Sargsyan, a nephew of Serzh Sargsyan, the third president of Armenia, on charges of an attempted murder.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) of Armenia resumed the criminal case about shooting in Yerevan in 2007 with the participation of Hayk Sargsyan. On July 10, he was charged with an attempted murder and illegal acquisition and possession of firearms.

Let us remind you that Narek Sargsyan, another Serzh Sargsyan's nephew, was put on the wanted list after law enforcers found drugs and weapons in his apartment.

On April 17 this year, the third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, was elected Prime Minister, but six days later he was forced to leave office because of mass protests. On May 8, the oppositional leader Nikol Pashinyan became the head of the government (the Premier) and the actual head of the country.
