The appointment of 21-year-old Khamzat Kadyrov the acting head of the Kurchaloi District administration has continued a series of appointments of Chechen leader's relatives for leading posts in the republic.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on April 6, Khamzat Kadyrov was introduced as the deputy head of the Kurchaloi Municipality.
Khamzat Kadyrov is a son of Zelimkhan, an elder Ramzan Kadyrov's brother who died in May 2004.
On May 21, Khamzat Kadyrov headed the Kurchaloi District, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been informed today by an official from the administration for the Chechen leader and government.
"Only 'own' people from among relatives and a narrow circle of subordinates are allowed to power. Meanwhile, the leader of Chechnya began to give preference to his close relatives. The trend has become clear in recent months," said Marina, an NGO member, when commenting on the Khamzat Kadyrov's appointment.
