Commander of "Rosgvardia" fighters who perished in Chechnya dismissed

The commander of the unit of the "Rosgvardia" (Russian National Guard), where on October 23 an officer shot dead four of his colleagues, was dismissed and is giving testimonies within the service check.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 23, in the Chechen village in Shelkovskaya, Senior Lieutenant of the "Rosgvardia" Marat Gadjiev opened fire in the barracks and fatally wounded four of his colleagues; after which he was shot dead. On October 26, sources from power bodies reported that the commander of the unit stationed in Shelkovskaya was detained.

Today, the "Rosgvardia" Department for the Chechen Republic failed to confirm the fact of commander's detainment, noting that he was just removed from office.

The information about a temporary dismissal of the commander of the "Rosgvardia" military unit was confirmed also by Alexander Loktev, the head of the press service of the North-Caucasian District of the "Rosgvardia". He also added that the dismissed commander is in the territory of the 46th Operative Brigade in Grozny, the TASS reports.
