Father of girl killed by dogs: Makhachkala Mayoralty to pay 50 million roubles

The father of a schoolgirl, who died of dog bites, has filed to the Soviet District Court of Makhachkala a lawsuit against the City Mayoralty and the city housing and communal services administration. The man claims compensation in the amount of 50 million roubles for moral suffering.

Earlier, a similar lawsuit was filed by the schoolgirl's mother. Lawyers questioned by the "Caucasian Knot" considered it to be hopeless.

The newspaper "Chernovik" (Draft) reports with reference to Islam Gafurov, a representative of the plaintiff, the amount of compensation is significantly conditioned by the desire to draw attention to the problems in the management of the Dagestani capital.

The consideration of the lawsuit filed by the mother of the deceased schoolgirl was scheduled by the court for July 17, reports the "Chernovik" with reference to Marizhat Gadjimagomedova, a representative of the woman.

On March 1, in Makhachkala, the first dog-house was opened on the basis of an abandoned farm. On March 28, the first four dogs were released from it. After vaccinations and sterilization, they do not pose any threat to city residents, the Makhachkala Mayoralty reported.
