Anatoly Bibilov refuses to interfere in conflict between Eduard Kokoity and President of South Ossetia

Anatoly Bibilov said that the presidential candidates of South Ossetia "should not sling mud at each other." Anatoly Bibilov does not interfere in the conflict of Leonid Tibilov and Eduard Kokoity. This opinion was voiced by local journalists Alan Parastaev and Zhanna Tarkhanova.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in South Ossetia, the presidential election is scheduled for April 9, 2017. On March 14, the Supreme Court (SC) upheld the refusal of the Central Election Commission (CEC) to register Eduard Kokoity as a presidential candidate. Meanwhile, the CEC registered Leonid Tibilov, the leader of the republic, and Anatoly Bibilov, Speaker of the Parliament, as presidential candidates.

Today, at a rally in Tskhinval, Anatoly Bibilov has noted that "only compliance with laws will lead the republic to stable future, and all the ills come from violations of the law."

Meanwhile, according to journalist Irina Kelekhsaeva, reporters expected that Anatoly Bibilov would produce some comments about the people's marches organized by supporters of Eduard Kokoity and about the actions of the authorities.

In fact, Anatoly Bibilov "does not interfere in any way in the conflict between Eduard Kokoity and Leonid Tibilov," notes Zhanna Tarkhanova, a journalist of the "Jamnews".

In turn, Alan Parastaev, a journalist and an author of the blog "South Ossetia as it is, used to be and could be" at the "Caucasian Knot", said that he was surprised by "the Anatoly Bibilov's unwillingness to act as an intermediary and to become a guarantor of tranquillity."

Earlier, journalist Zhanna Tarkhanova has noted that Leonid Tibilov and Anatoly Bibilov actually started running for the post of the leader of the republic yet in 2014. According to the journalist, in South Ossetia, the political confrontation has developed into squabbles and public mutual accusations.
