Demonstrators in Tbilisi demanded the release of political prisoners.

Supporters of Georgia's eurointegration, despite the heavy rain, took to the streets for a protest in the center of Tbilisi for the 701st consecutive day.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on October 28, participants of the protests in the center of Tbilisi marked the 700th day of continuous actions with a musical performance, striking drums 700 times.

Activists with national flags and EU flags gathered for the 701st consecutive day in front of the Georgian Parliament, demanding the release of political prisoners and a change in political course.

Protesters are also gathering near the Tbilisi City Council building. This evening, demonstrators reminded the “Georgian Dream” of their position, despite the rainy weather.

Those gathered held placards reading “Freedom!”, “Resistance is the only mechanism of salvation”, “Fight until it’s too late. We will definitely win”, – Mzia Amaglobeli”, “Someone else's grief should not become a means of enrichment” and “Freedom for Elene Khoshtaria”, according to a series of photos on the page of photographer Giorgi Mosiashvili (Mo Se) on Facebook*.

One of the placards expressed the protesters' hope for the removal of the founder of the “Georgian Dream” from power in Georgia before the end of the year: “2026: Orban - Vucic - Bidzina”.

Since November 28, 2024, protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners. Security forces have conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detained protesters.
