Leader of Kabardino-Balkaria confirms death of Asker Bizhoev in Syria

Asker Bizhoev, a Russian military, killed in Syria, is posthumously awarded the Order of Courage.

On May 25, the death of the military man was reported by commentator of the "Caucasian Knot" under the nickname of karachaev: "I've heard his name was Asker. The date of his death coincides with the yesterday's (of May 24) information on the shelling of the Russian military base in Syria, where four helicopters were burned out," he wrote.

The information about the death of Asker Bizhoev in Syria has been confirmed by a source from the Urvan District administration.

"In May, Asker Bizhoev, a resident of the town of Nartkala of the Urvan District of Kabardino-Balkaria, died heroically during a combat mission in Syria. By the presidential decree, he was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage. The award was given to his parents," wrote Yuri Kokov, the head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) on his Instagram page.
