"RZhDstroi" announces sale of unfinished Olympic buildings

The "RZhDstroi" has organized a tender to sell unfinished residential houses, which were to be built for volunteers in the village of Vesyoloe on the eve of the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games. According to an agent of the "RZhDstroi", the tender results have already been summarized. However, he has refused to name the buyer. Residents of Sochi claim that fertile gardens were destroyed for the sake of the protracted construction.

All the above refers to the "second floor" of the residential complex "Urozhainy" (Fruitful) in the village of Vesyoloe. According to the plans in preparation for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, houses with more than 1000 apartments were to be built at the site.

"The unfinished apartments in the buildings were initially intended to accommodate temporary staff, volunteers, and security force agents, engaged for the period of the Olympic Winter Games and the Paralympic Winter Games in 2014," confirmed Anastasia Fedorova, the deputy chief of the sales department of the "RZhDstroi".

By the beginning of the Olympic Games, out of five sites, only three houses in No. 19 and No. 23 were built on the site No. 3 in Khudyakov Street. They accommodated volunteers.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in April, activists held a new inspection of the village of Vesyoloe and claimed no measures still taken concerning the situation in the village.
