Yuri Chaika: over 1000 cases instituted against Russian citizens involved in conflicts in Syria and Iraq
In Russia, about 7000 websites are cleared of illegitimate information, and law enforcers are engaged in investigation into more than 1000 cases against citizens involved in terrorist groupings in Syria and Iraq. This was reported by Yuri Chaika, General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 10, 2015, Yuri Chaika reported on 650 cases initiated on the fact of involvement of Russian citizens in conflicts abroad.
"At the request of the General Prosecutor's Office, the access to 1000 online resources is limited. About 7000 websites are cleared of illegitimate information, including the information on the activities of organizations banned in the country. More than 1000 criminal cases are being investigated on the fact of involvement of Russian citizens in the terrorist groupings in Syria and Iraq," the Russian General Prosecutor's Office quotes Yuri Chaika in Twitter as reporting.
The Russian General Prosecutor also has not ruled out the possibility of extremist manifestations during the election campaign to the State Duma in September 2016.
