Investigators question over 40 persons on case of Boeing crash
Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF), has handed over the inquiry into the crash of Boeing 737-800 to the department for investigating particularly important cases; the investigators in charge have confiscated the flight documentation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on March 19 a Boeing-737 of the airline "FlyDubai", flying from Dubai, crashed in Rostov-on-Don. All the 55 passengers and seven crew members perished. The major versions of the accident include a crew's error and bad weather conditions; they also consider a possible technical failure.
Mr Bastrykin has arrived in Rostov-on-Don, said Vladimir Markin, the spokesman of the ICRF.
According to his story, investigators of the ICRF "are confiscating the flight documentation and interrogate the persons, who might be involved in this accident."
"Already over 40 persons have been questioned – casualties' relatives, employees of the airport and the aerodrome traffic control centre, Rostov Meteorological Centre and officials of the "FlyDubai"; the aircraft documentation of the Rostov-on-Don Airport has been confiscated," the "Interfax" quotes Mr Markin as saying.
