Residents of Volgograd to get concession from authorities in case of demolition of houses
In Volgograd, after the protests of city residents, whose cottages in the Dzerzhinsk District of Volgograd are to be demolished by the court's decision, the city authorities have agreed to sign an amicable agreement with the tenants of the cottages.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 11, 2015, at the request of the authorities, the court obliged the tenants of seven cottages in the Dzerzhinsk District of Volgograd to demolish their houses, since they had been built without permission. The tenants proposed the authorities to conclude an amicable agreement with them. The Prosecutor's Office interfered in the dispute, but on March 16, the Regional Court upheld the decision on demolition of the houses. On March 17, a woman from one of the cottages held a solo picket, and on March 18, her neighbours also held solo pickets. Then, the owners of the houses were invited to come to the City Mayor's Office.
On March 18, at the meeting of tenants of the houses located in Enotaevskaya Street and officials from the City Mayor's Office, it was decided to develop an amicable agreement, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
According to the tenants, it was agreed to send the draft document to the court after obtaining the opinion of the Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) about observance of fire safety standards at the cottages.
