Russian Suleimanov released in Turkey

Turkish authorities have released Aidar Suleimanov, a native of Tatarstan, earlier detained on suspicion of involvement in terrorism.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 12 a suicide bomber committed a terror act in Istanbul. 11 people were killed; other 14 were wounded. The Turkish authorities blamed militants of the "Islamic State" (IS) (banned in Russia) for the attack. On January 12, it became known about the detention of three citizens of Russia – natives of Tatarstan Ruslan Khaibullov and 31-year-old Aidar Suleimanov, as well as a 33-year-old native of Dagestan Kamalutdin Babaev.

Suleimanov was released without charging; he is allowed to use mobile communication and freely move without leaving the territory of Turkey, the "Kommersant" writes.

Earlier, Mekhmed Kai, a member of the Turkish human rights organization "Yabandji Insan Khukuklary", said that on 14 January the court decided to release Khibullov and Suleimanov. "The prosecution failed to present proofs of their guilt," he said.
