Mosque leaders condemn IS
In Makhachkala, the leaders of the Juma Mosque, located in Hungarian Fighters Street, which is considered a Salafi mosque, called on Muslims to beware of travelling to the "Islamic State" (IS).
Earlier, the well-known Salafi preacher Nadir Abu Khalid was preaching in the above mosque. However, in May this year he swore to the IS, which is banned in Russia as a terrorist organization; then, the mosque managers were asked to close it.
On December 17, on their Facebook page, the leaders of the mosque condemned the IS, the spokesman of the mosque in the Hungarian Fighters Street told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to his version, the statement will be announced also during the Friday namaz (prayer) on December 18 to mosque-goers.
"We've stated earlier that condemn the IS... and when the young people approached with us with similar questions, the mosque managers always explained the malignancy of such groupings," he said.
In particular, according to his story, the leadership of the mosque asks youth to beware of the IS, which is not a righteous Islamic caliphate.
