Kuban Prosecutor: schools face ISIL ideological propaganda

At the meeting with religious figures, Leonid Korzhinek, Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory, has reported on detection of the cases of dissemination of the ideology of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) among schoolgirls of the Krasnodar Territory. The participants of the meeting have stated that the schools need regular discussions of a religious nature.

On November 18, Leonid Korzhinek held the working meeting with representatives of religious confessions. At the meeting, the Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory has reported that the law enforcement agencies have detected the cases of propaganda of radical ideas by schoolgirls of the seventh-eighth forms, who stayed in active communication with IS militants through the Internet.

"The schoolgirls were disseminating and promoting among their classmates the ideas of creation of an Islamic caliphate," Leonid Korzhinek has stated as quoted by the "Interfax".

The Prosecutor of the Krasnodar Territory has emphasized that the religious figures face an important challenge to prevent such situations. In total, in 2015, according to Leonid Korzhinek, the law enforcement agencies have detected 38 crimes of extremist and terrorist nature in the Krasnodar Territory.

In their turn, members of religious communities have declared that the discussions with teachers and pupils of schools and colleges should be held regularly, the "Kuban 24" reports.
