Movement "Arise, Armenia!" announces round-the-clock action near Parliament
Activists of the civil movement "Arise, Armenia!" demand a meeting with the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament in the presence of heads of parliamentary factions to discuss the country's accumulated problems.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 22, the council of the movement "Arise, Armenia!" put forward three demands to the Armenian Parliament, namely: discuss in the Parliament resignation of the President; publish lists of Armenian citizens, who were outside the country during the 2012-2013 elections; and make public detailed data on expenditures of the Government since 2012.
The start of protest action at the Armenian National Assembly was declared by Andreas Gukasyan, a political scientist and a member of the council of "Arise, Armenia!"
According to his story, protesters demand to meet Grair Tovmasyan, the head of the office of the Parliament in order to organize a discussion of the above demands with the Speaker Galust Sahakyan.
Gukasyan has added that the meeting with the Speaker should take place in the presence of heads of parliamentary factions and mass media.
"At the meeting with the Speaker we'll announce the arguments under our three demands put forward by the movement, and discuss the accumulated country's problems," Andreas Gukasyan told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
