CTO legal regime introduced in Tsumada District of Dagestan

At 6:00 a.m. Moscow time, the counterterrorist operation (CTO) legal regime was introduced within the entire territory of the Tsumada District.

"The CTO legal regime is introduced in connection with the ongoing activities on identification and neutralization of persons, involved in terrorist activities and in illegal armed formations (IAFs)," reported a source from the law enforcement bodies of the Tsumada District.

At present, law enforcement units are carrying out operational and search activities within the entire territory of the Tsumada District, the "Interfax" reports with reference to a source from the law enforcement bodies of Dagestan.

Earlier, the "Caucasian Knot" has reported on the introduction of the CTO legal regime in the village of Gimry of the Untsukul District on October 10. According to law enforcers, a group of armed men was blocked in one of the houses. After the special operation, the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported on the killings of three suspected militants and one FSB fighter. On October 12, the CTO legal regime was cancelled.
