Saigidpasha Umakhanov re-elected head of Khasavyurt City Assembly
Saigidpasha Umakhanov, who resigned from the posts of the Khasavyurt Mayor and the Chairman of the City Assembly, has been re-elected the head of the City Assembly. Deputies have unanimously voted for his candidacy.
On September 22, social networks disseminated the information about the possible resignation of the Khasavyurt Mayor. The sources familiar with the situation have mentioned a ministerial seat in Makhachkala as one of the supposed posts for Saigidpasha Umakhanov after his resignation from the post of the City Mayor. According to the press service of the Khasavyurt administration, Saigidpasha Umakhanov is on vacation.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, at the regular session of the meeting of the City Assembly, Saigidpasha Umakhanov has officially announced his resignation. Arslan Arslanov, the former head of the Khasavyurt administration, has become the Acting Mayor. Saigidpasha Umakhanov has also resigned from the post of the Chairman of the City Assembly.
At the today's session, Ismail Dadaev, the deputy head of the Khasavyurt administration, has proposed the deputies to elect the Chairman of the City Assembly. The candidacy of Saigidpasha Umakhanov was put forward for the voting, the press service of the Khasavyurt administration reports.
After the end of the session of the City Assembly, Saigidpasha Umakhanov was met by a large group of citizens, who expressed their gratitude for his work and asked him to return to the post of the City Mayor.
