Investigators demand to extend arrest of Andrei Vinogradov until January 8

The Basmanny Court of Moscow has scheduled for September 24 the consideration of the motion for extension of the arrest of the head of the Kizlyar District of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Andrei Vinogradov was detained at night of July 27. On August 7, it became known that Andrei Vinogradov was charged with financing of terrorism, aiding and abetting in an attempted murder of a policeman and an attempted murder of an official of the city administration.

Officials from the preliminary investigation bodies have appealed to the Basmanny District Court of Moscow with a request to extend the term of detention in custody for Andrei Vinogradov until January 8, 2016, reports Anna Fadeeva, the press secretary of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow.

According to her, the motion of the ICRF will be considered at the open court hearing to be held on September 24.

Let us remind you that when commenting on the case against Sagid Murtazaliev and Andrei Vinogradov, Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov has stated that in Dagestan, the process of "cleansing of power" is underway. Meanwhile, the Dagestani leader has noted that he had no claims against the Murtazaliev's and Vinogradov's work. In their turn, the experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent associated the arrests and searches of the officials in Dagestan with the election of the Mayor of Makhachkala.
